acb_mat_randtest_eig

Synopsis#include <flint/acb_mat.h>
void acb_mat_randtest_eig(acb_mat_t mat, flint_rand_t state, acb_srcptr E, slong prec)source

Sets the square matrix mat to a random matrix with the eigenvalues given by the vector EE (with their multiplicities), constructed as QUQ∗Q U Q^{*} with QQ the exponential of a random skew-Hermitian matrix (unitary up to rounding) and UU a random upper triangular matrix with diagonal EE. The result is computed in ball arithmetic and contains a matrix with exactly these eigenvalues. For testing.
