ca_exp

Synopsis#include <flint/ca.h>
void ca_exp(ca_t res, const ca_t x, ca_ctx_t ctx)source

Sets res to exe^x. In the generic case the result is the generator of Q(ex)\mathbb{Q}(e^x).

The following simplifications are made automatically: e0=1e^0 = 1, elog⁡z=ze^{\log z} = z, e(p/q)log⁡z=zp/qe^{(p/q) \log z} = z^{p/q}, eπip/qe^{\pi i p / q} is the algebraic root of unity when q≤q \le CA_OPT_QQBAR_DEG_LIMIT, and ealog⁡z+s=zaese^{a \log z + s} = z^a e^{s} when the representation of the exponent contains a term alog⁡za \log z with rational aa.

For special values, e+∞=+∞e^{+\infty} = +\infty, e−∞=0e^{-\infty} = 0, and e∞~e^{\tilde \infty} and eUndefinede^{\text{Undefined}} are Undefined; other signed infinities give Unknown.
