Set rop to op1±op2\mathit{op1} \pm \mathit{op2}, with one lookup in the Zech table: gi+gj=gj+Z(i−j)g^i + g^j = g^{j + Z(i - j)}, and gi−gj=gi+gj+(q−1)/2g^i - g^j = g^i + g^{j + (q-1)/2} for odd pp.
